with extrication and fire. First dispatched to a 962(MVA w/injuries) extrication with 4-6 patients 2 entrapped in a white SUV. Get on scene and begin triage and setting up to cut...........and Kaboom Big rig reaerends a mini-van and the both explode like the movies. about a 1/4 west of our scene. It was a pretty hectic few minutes, thank god for ICS. ended up with 1 ground transport, 1 901H and 5 refusals who went via chaplain to the hospital. Made for a long night, after doing a live fire hi-rise training evolution.
If anyone on here is in the phoenix area and has a chance to train at the Glendale Regional Public Satey training Center do it and do it often. It is an awesome place. Has a storty burn building set up like a common hallway apartment building/office bulding. Has a hallway that flashes over on you. They are building a swift water rescue site, a mock circle K/gas station. they have a train derailment set-up, with multiple railcar props. Many more as well.
