Ok I have been running into some conflicting answers to a licensing question. I currently live in North Ga. right at the state line and I am a volunteer firefighter in the county I live in. I am currently in school to become an EMT in Tennessee. I know Tennessee test I-85 which is EMT-IV in Tennessee but I’ve herd that I-85 Is an EMT-B in most other places. My question is to be an EMT-Intermediate in GA will my EMT-IV carry over or will I have to test up?

Where are you in school at?

If you are taking a class in Tennessee you will become a TN EMT-IV and a National BASIC. If you want to get your National I-85 you will have to do that on your own. If your agency does not require the I-85 I would not do it right now since they will be changing to the Advanced EMT.
