Howdy Everyone, I've tried to apply with Texas DSHS for Initial EMT Basic Licensure through Reciprocity. I took my EMT Basic course in New Mexico at UNM, I haven't held licensure as a Basic or any other level in New Mexico. From the form it seems to state you need proof of a CURRENT Certification or Licensure. I am certified with the NREMT but that's it right now. Naturally I can't apply for initial licensure because my course was taken out of state so reciprocity is my only choice. I've tried calling the licensing department but they aren't exactly the most efficient at returning calls.
