Studying before start of EMT-B program?

Hey everyone!
I just registered today for an EMT-B program here in California. It starts in April 6th, and is every Saturday and Sunday till mid June.
I also got my Textbook today.

As I combed through the forum, I've seen multiple times people recommending going through the textbook before the class starts to help have a basic understanding beforehand.

My question is, is there anything in particular I should be focusing on before the class? or should I just start from the beginning of my textbook and start familiarizing myself?
