Hello there, and TIA... I'm getting totally bored with my winery job and I'm ready to enter the EMS profession. I have a university degree and I was EMT-B certified last spring and all I need to do at this point is get the ambulance driver cert and go. My plan, I guess, is to get a job up here then eventually move to San Francisco/East Bay when I get some experience.
My question is: does anyone here work in Sonoma County? How/when did you get hired? Is it a totally hopeless case for me to start applying right now or would you recommend some type of volunteer work first? I would love to do weekend volunteering to bolster my resume but I'm not sure where I could go. Thanks everyone!
P.S. My handle is from War & Peace. Will I ever finish it?! p. 632.
