Should Hipaa Be broken to protect Paramedics

There are police departments that have their officers wear cameras that record everything they see. Like a dashcam on their shoulder. Not very common in the US but seems to be seen often in the UK.

We've got those here as well. Along with high powered mics that pick up every conversation on scene :glare:

That sounds safe while driving in city traffic...

It does seem that way. No se, we don't have them on the fire apparatus :P I would hope they're used intelligently, though I doubt they're used at all.

The New Zealand Police are rolling out tasers with cameras mounted to the bottom of the "barrel," that was the only way they could get them approved by the government apparently. Not sure if they're used in the states, tasers are not all that common in Massachusetts compared to the rest of the country.
 
But for the most part, law enforcement is not bound by privacy laws like HIPAA.
