For the IFT-ALS program in OC, where do new medics to the county take their local accreditation class to be able to get hired? Do you have to call one of those 4 companies that currently has medics? Or does the county hold classes?

OCEMS conducts the IFT-ALS Paramedic Accreditation course. Only a Paramedic employed by an IFT-ALS provider is eligible for the class. Those interested in the level of service should review IFT-SO-1 and IFT-SO-2 for the program standing orders. IFT-SO-3 is a good document to reference the scope and breadth of the IFT-ALS. Starting pay > $17 per hour for 12 hour shifts, DOE.
