What is the average pay for an EMT-B in PA? Does this include benefits?

64.00 HR, 100% benefits and you retire at 100% after 15 years. :)

Ah, well, in that case

:P

Your best bet is to call some local private agencies and act like an aspiring EMT.

We have tried, "were sorry but we cant release that info"

Call a local government run one than. They have to release the info.

Hell, stalk a local ambulance and talk to the crew when/if they stop for lunch. Regardless of what the "policy" is, I doubt most front end employees would refuse to talk to a potential coworker.

No offense, but you better be researching this stuff elsewhere. The questions you are asking show that you have not an idea of how EMS or private ambulance services are run. Unless you and your buddy want to go bankrupt and possibly more, you need to find this all out first, or find someone that has been there.

But seriously Folks...

If you're using this site to gather the info you need to get a private ambulance service off the ground (and it's not just this thread you're doing this) I really suspect you will have a long, hard road ahead of you. Info on Pay may be useful after you gather info on Prayers.

I thnk $50k/year. / 50 hrs a week saleried. w/full insurance.. ya,

You need to pay what is considered to be average rates in the industry. Which means for emt you pay $30 hr/plus all benefits, 3 weeks vacation, 1 week sick days. For paramedic it's 75k a year, plus all benefits, 1 month vacation, 2 weeks sick days and retirement plan.

Keep in mind unless you pay something close to the industry average that i posted above, you will have very high turn over rate. Good luck as it sounds like you will need it.
