thank u lots!!!

any in the state of ohio?

I would do this one but I am not sure if its for OHIO.

its for florida? any suggestions?

Did you read the threads or go to the website?

You asked for online, you got online...didn't think it had to be an in-state online refresher.

A refresher is a refresher in any state, it may simply vary in number of hours which you may have to increase though other CME's or have a more focused area of a certain section depending on where you are from.

I just thought it had to be through the same state- I am taking this class, not for CEU hrs it's cuz I haven't passed my paramedic exam yet. So maybe I will call tomorrow and find out.

To clarify, you are taking the refresher because you failed NR 3 times already and need the refresher to continue on?

Not trying to embarrass you just fact gathering.

Typically, a refresher is a refresher no matter where you take it as long as it meets the required minimum hours which most do. I have taken online refreshers and refreshers in other states simply cause it was easiest for me at the time.

yes u are correct- i will call tomorrow to figure out if I can take one online!

do u prefer one over another?

Well, not one to dodge any rules or anything but if you read my thread about eeii.org

It isn't exactly an "online" course. It is a home study refresher.

You pay for the course, then download or have them mail the course materials to you.

You complete the course and mail it back in for grading/review. They do review them and ensure completeness as I have known of a few that got kicked back for incomplete or not following instructions.

(For some reason I feel deja vu)

Anyways, once they grade them, they then mail you a certificate that says you completed x number of hours of paramedic refresher, the course number, etc all the legal stuff. There is no mention of online study and it is all legit.

Refreshers are what you get out of them as with any CME, info should not be spoon fed to you as it is your career and you should have enough initiative and interest to do the work and research.

Damn it I said I would not rewrite all this but you made me do it anyways. It was all in the links I already shared.

It was mentioned in one of your links that

"NREMT does NOT allow more than 10 hours on-line anything. So, one can only receive a portion to be used as the refresher"

I have been working on completing my 24 hours of CEU online with rapid CE and was going to attend the 48 hour refresher offered somewhere. Now I am worried 14 of my CEU's wont count?

Did you read the part where I said it is NOT online education?

Did you read the part where I have recerted my NR twice using this company?

And will use it again as I expire in 2011...

Its all distant learn though correct? Maybe I missed something. If I did not, it seems kind of shady or maybe a loop hole in the system?

Also did you read the part of what I wrote about my online CEU's? I was under the impression I could take the 24 online and do the 48 hour refresher some other way. So now I am concerned some of my online ceu's wont count.

Correct, all distance learning. There are no rules against it, nothing shady about it.

The school is an actual brick and mortar facility, licensed by the state, authorized to teach refreshers, each refresher course is numbered in accordance with all state laws. I have had no issue renewing NR or multiple states using it.

If you renew you ACLS, BLS,PALS and PHTLS...wont that count as the CEUs?

I used to hold an OR license as well...in 2005.

Its my first time to renew as a medic, I have until 2011. I have only renewed as Basic and Intermediate in the past and some of the hours and classes are new to me. Thanks for the info
