Paramedic recert question (California and NREMT)

On the NREMT website, it says we need 60 hours of CEs to recert our NREMT. That is 30 of specific topics, and 30 of individual.

Question is: The CEs we use to recert, can we use it on both California state license and NREMT?
 
As long as the CE meets the requirements for both the NREMT and California, yes. They are two different entities. I'm an RN and and a Paramedic in California. I have used some of my CE to renew each of my licenses. Some education is specific to nursing or EMS so it cannot be used to renew the "other" license. I figure I took around 55 hours of CE to renew these licenses, which otherwise would need 78 hours (48+30) to renew both because most of it was acceptable for renewal purposes for each. Same concept for NREMT and California EMS renewals.
 
How does one renew their blue California license?
 
One shall visit the state EMS website and look for the section titled “paramedic recert” and follow the directions.
