Paramedic coordinator

Hello, I was wondering what are the requirements to being a Paramedic coordinator In LA County for a private company other than being a Licencensed and accredited Paramedic? Does the county give you guidence in regards what they expect of you, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Can any body answer the question? ?? Or do i have to ask what a good 911 company in LA is or how many times have you done CPR?? You know rick stuff.

If I had to guess at it, and thats all I have for you is a guess, I'd say that thats going to vary company to company. I would think of it as a position you would be promoted into by upper management, not have to have any other special certifications. Previous management experience would definitely be a plus.

I know that some companies require you take at least an EMS Management course and maybe a business management course. Many also require a certain amount of minimum paramedic experience and previous supervision or management experience. Our County requires 5 year minimum as a Paramedic, 2+ years as a supervisor or manager, EMS Management Course and a satisfactory job record.
