Im getting ready to take my paramedic exam. Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions about books or online study guides. I have quiet a few but just want to make sure Im fully prepared to take this exam. :)

Okay, you want the help...here it is STUDY!

Seriously, you have had at least a few months to start preparing for a board examination. Get either some review books or go chapter per chapter outlining the objectives. If you really want to pass, then download the current NHTSA Curriculum and be sure you can answer each objective and AHA BLS/ACLS course books and practice tests.

There .. no one can help you pass. You have to review and study; its a board certification.

Thanks...again...Ive been studying since i started this paramedic course so don't think I waited until the last minute...Ive paid for many online sites as well as fisdap and i have many books plus all my paramedic books. Just thought someone knew something i didn't thats all! but thank you!

Really probably can not tell anymore than what has been posted. The problem alies most Paramedic candidates still fail to learn to how study properly.

Couple of hints. Don't read into the test question things that are not there. Be sure to ask yourself what it is they are asking .

Don't dwell on a question too long. You are given about a minute. The first answer that appears right; probably is (Subconcious working) .

Don't study 24 hours prior to the test. You will get more anxious and add confusion.

Don't always think A, B, C's ..will be the answer. Be sure to examine your patient and especially know the difference between ventilation and oxygenation.
