You guys are pretty smart. A paramedic program (NCTI) for $9100. I currently have about 5k in savings. I work as an EMT netting about 1200 every 2 weeks. There is a Program start date in April and September. If I save the same amount of money every month as if I started in April, by the time the September start date comes, I could pay it in full. OR I can do it in seven month payments, and it would not be an issue. So, what's the better sounding option?

I live at home, and I just have a 200 dollar car payment to worry about.

Also a possible winter deployment...

There are other Paramedic programs for half the cost and you don't have to worry about not being able to find a preceptor. I've know a couple of medics that went they NCTI. Took them 18 months total.
