OK so here is the deal. Next year during Spring Brake my medic school (Jefferson Collage of health Sciences) requires that all students do a career extrenship. This extern can not be in the area that I am from and they prefer that it isn't near where I'll end up. It has to encompass a couple days (50-ish hours I think of being on duty....) What I need is ideas for places to go so I can be getting contacts in order and making plans. I would prefer that it be in a fairly busy area where I can get the most experience (ie: busy), not be to terribly far away (in or neighboring VA are OK, just not more than a good days drive). And if you happen to know of a fairly cheap place to crash while I'm there I would be apreciative.

Thank you for any ideas.

P.S. And just so no one gets thrown off by it...I ain't a newbie to EMS, I've been an EMT-B for 3 years and am in medic school, so while I know I don't know everything, I am fairly comfortable in the back of the truck
