Unfortunately, ambush attacks are almost always 100% unavoidable. if someone wants to hurt you, they will find a way. We saw the same thing happen in Webster NY.

Firefighting is a risky job, but no firefighter expects to be injured or killed from gunfire, especially when responding to a fire. it's not something you can train or prepare for. Hopefully the law enforcement investigators can provide additional information regarding this tragedy.
