So I took the nremt basic passed and passed my practicals. I heard I have to be hired as an EMT in my state.(New Hampshire) before being able to take mass test and do I only need written or practical also?
Let me try to clarify some things... or at least ask some questions, so we can help you best.
Where did you complete your EMT class? Have you completed a class practical and NR CBT exam? Do you have your NR card in hand?
In order to receive MA EMT CERTIFICATION (note, not a license to practice), you are correct, you must hold certification in a different state (MA doesn't accept NR directly). If NH requires you to be affiliated with an ambulance service in order to receive certification, you must satisfy that requirement.
If the NR and NH have accepted your practical, it's likely MA will as well, but there are no certainties in this process. Be aware, you will also need a course completion certificate (indicating, among other things, that your course met or exceeded the DOT '94 standard curriculum.
