Lost EMS laptop contained patient info 8:17 PM

CONCORD, N.C. -- A laptop computer containing the personal information of 28,000 patients treated by Cabarrus County paramedics has been lost, and officials are offering a $500 reward for its safe return.
The computer was left on the back bumper of a Cabarrus County Emergency Medical Services ambulance on Oct. 28, according to a news release. The ambulance had transported a patient to Carolinas Medical Center – Northeast and was parked in the emergency bay.
