Hi All,

I am trying to set up a student run emergency response team at my University, and I have made decent progress concept wise so far.

One of the things I am looking at is to find other Universities that have their own student run BLS team. Do you guys know of any other schools that have such a program? Especially any other Jesuit schools?

I am going to head back to Google, but I do appreciate your help...

Thanks,

Purdue

We run a BLS QRS service at my college. What questions did you have about setting one up?

My advice is to get in contact with your Primary 911 provider and see if they can help you (they can be a great resource)

I strongly suggest checking out the National Collegiate EMS Foundation website (if you have not done so already).

As a member of a collegiate response team, I have found this site to be incredibly useful.

The College of Charleston (in Charleston SC, go figure) has their own student run BLS. When I worked for Charleston County EMS, we ran with them on occasion. They seemed pretty knowledgeable and motivated. I did a quick google search for College of Charleston EMS, and this is what I found:

That's all I got.

Go look at their database to see what kind of service each member school has. I know there are some Jesuit schools in there, and I'm pretty sure some are BLS-only.

As earlier mentioned NCEMSF is the way to go. They have some articles on how to start your own program, definitely read into them. It'll be difficult but good luck!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all your replies, I do appreciate them!

Fortunately, I have some support behind me, so we will see how things go...I'm mainly looking for some schools who are similar to use to compare to and to see how they run things...

Thanks again,

Purdue
