I downloaded a free sample of a US Army mountain survival and operations manual through Amazon online. About sixty-plus pages set at smallest font, a lot of detailed medical and physiologic material as well as nutrition and groundpounder acronym stuff. The whole US manual costs $1.99 and they advertise 500 free manuals.

Title is "WILDERNESS MEDICINE COURSE and WINTER SURVIVAL COURSE HANDBOOK Combined plus 500 free military manuals".

I've asked the mods to move it.
It is the handbook used by MARINES at the Bridgeport CA mountain survival training center. The "500 free manuals" refers to a link to the originating company's website for downloads.
Still, good info.
