Job Interview

Last night in the ED was crazy. People were out looking for touble last night or something. We had two code, one waas returned, 3 significant burns, mulitiple MI's, multiple diabet emergencies, quite a few sick babies, numerous assaults, and then just the typical whinning crying dumb stuff. All in all it was a good night, but I'm so glad to be home and finally able to go to bed. Loving the job and the bussiness, but so was not wanting a night like that. Anyways thanks for letting me vent a little. Time for a well needed nap.

welcome back

Just thought I'd let you know how things were going.

well ive been at the ER for about two months now and things were going good until about last night. My boss called me into his office and notified me that I am be moved to a diffrent department. The reason is that I'm not working at a fast enough pase to be effective enough.
To say the least im not to happy, but everything happens for a reason and hopefully I can fix the problem and maybe return to the ER.

Whatever you do - DO NOT ACCEPT TRANSITIONAL CARE!!! *Thats a nice term for psych ward.

Things really do happen for a reason. At the busiest local hospital you can't simply apply for the ED. You have to put years in on a floor before you can work as an ER tech in the ED. It's simply because they need people who can do a billion things at once... and fast! Many of the people who were there when I did my EMT clinicals five years ago are still there.

Lots of things happen in life, and this may be a good step for your career. Wait, see, and keep us updated!
