It feels like I'm stuck in a rut.

your 911 ambulances don't have vents or pumps on your 911 ambulances? I know we require at least 2 pumps on every paramedic unit, and I think we also require them to have vents.

How many 911 runs have a patient put on a pump? Seems like quite a waste of money to require not one but two. Can't say I've ever seen a 911 truck that had a pump that didn't also occasionally take your hated IFT runs.

well, OP, what was your score on your EMT exam ?

I think the score matters, HEre in NY, 70 is passing, and you get yoru cert. I wouldnt hire someome with a 70 if I can hire someone with a 90.

98.

Still no luck.

Still applying, calling, emailing, visits.

I have never heard of employer asking about the score of anyone's EMT exam, be it class, NR, or licensing if applicable in that state. It's not like they can even check that information half the time.

Keep at it, man. You could also look into ER tech positions to "sweeten" your resume.
As far as experience, it helps tremendously, even BLS. I have precepted for 13 years and the only fails I have had are those without experience. Those with are far better prepared than those without.
Good luck.
