How do I become a PAID instructor for CPR or First Responder?

I have been an EMT-B for almost a year now. I have ran about 800 calls, mostly 911. I love it.
However, I need some variety, and some $$$.
The only two options I can see online are either a CPR volunteer for the American Heart Association, or becoming an independent contractor and spending a thousand dollars on equipment and advertising your own course.

Is there a third option? What do I need to do?

Option 3: Work for an already established CPR / First aid teaching organization. Some I've seen typically charge a flat rate per student you teach.

One such location I've seen

Instructors must join a Training Center (TC) to officially teach courses. To join our AHA Training Center the fees are $100.00 per year and $3 per completion card requested.

I am just about to take the NREMT B and I cant wait to start my career like yours is going! The problem is, there are not any jobs in this field where I live (central coast , CA.)... I may have to re locate. I too am looking into becoming a CPR instructor for both the AHA and ARC here. I have a friend who is a EMT and he makes an extra grand a month just for teaching for AHA on the side, so there are definitly oppertunities there for you, go for it bro!

I'm getting into it as a retitrement gig.

It's sort of an underground economy, people lending or renting each other equip, etc., unless they are working for an employer who supplies them.
Look up and ask LifeSafe about it, they do oxygen and CPR teaching in a lot of places.

Likke any other job you have to certify train and apply for, only the pay probably isn't as good.
