Hey guys. I'm doing a high school grad project and we have to write an essay on a controversial issue that relates to our topic. I would greatly appreciate it if you could give me some potential topics related to Fire or EMS services. Thanks in advance.:)
 
A controversial topic my service is facing is using the ResQ Pod and obtaining "informed consent" from patients.

Here's one that, despite numerous hours of unified command training, no can seem to figure out: Who has command and control at MCI's; PD, FD, or EMS?

I'm actually going to be writing a persuasive, research-based essay for English class this month. I'm thinking about taking on the AutoPulse debate.
 
I didn't know there was a debate. Me and everyone I know love the damn thing.

Or if it is Hazmat. Or the patient needs to be extricated from a vehicle.

Or crowd control is needed (it's a wonder what a charged line will do to a crowd that won't move. :ph34r:)
 
As far as being a high school paper, how about AED's for public use. Supermarkets, malls, or schools etc....what are the repercussions? Is it appropriate? Would it make a difference? What training is provided???
