I wanted to do this now before I got caught up in holiday preparations, so please allow me to wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. Some of you will be working, and a special thank you goes out to those who will be spending the day away from loved ones while you're on the job. If you do nothing else, please take a minute to really reflect on how much we have, and how millions (or billions!) of others would trade places with us in a minute. Whether you are paid or vollie, student or RN, full time or part-time on call, we have each chosen or aspire to a life that serves others in their hour of greatest need. That takes a special person, and one of my thank-yous go out to my virtual brothers and sisters on this board. You are always there with advice, consolation or a comfortable ear to vent to when times are bad. Have a wonderful holiday, and don't forget our military and their civilian co-workers who are spending this holiday away from us so that we may continue to enjoy the freedom of living in such a great nation. Regards, TF

Hope your turkey day is filled with good times, love alot and laugh out loud!!:)

Hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving. For you folks working Be safe and make the best out of it. I am off for the first time in over 5 years B) so I am going to be like the turkey. I'm going to get stuffed!!!

I'm one of the lucky ones this year... I work Thanksgiving day (grumble), Christmas Day (grumble, grumble, grumble), and New Year's day (oh for the love of Pete). I hope everyone has a safe and happy day, minimal calls and a chance to kick off their boots. Currently the odds are 2-1 for a pumpkin pie scented vomiting case, but even money on the diabetic dietary blowout. Please tell your holiday horror stories on a new thread.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. May those of you working have a safe and quiet Turkey Day.

I'm up in Reno, NV right now. The girlfriend is flying up here tonight and we're going to spend T-Day pigging out at the hotel buffet.

I came up here to take the ITLS class. I even passed the test & practicals. Yay!

Happy Turkey Day to you all to. And for those that work may you have the chance to sit down with your crew and enjoy a full meal in peace. Hopefully you have already planned on doing something fun for the holiday.

Happy turkey day to you too. Hope you got to spend some time with your loved ones on this holliday :D.
