I feel pretty good about how it went. Afterwards, there were some things that I realized I probably should have done, but over all, I feel pretty good about it.

The scenario was a school shooting with 3 victims. Two of them were shot in the head. Of those two, one was also shot in the chest, directly above the heart. Both of them were pulseless adn apnic. The third patient was unresponsive, weak pusle, shallow resps., tachy, and hypotensive. The patient had two penetrating injuries - one on the right side of the chest at aprox the second intercostal space and a second one on the back, along the bottom edge of the rib cage on the right side. I don't remember the exact vital signs that were given at the time.

Immediately began bagging the patient. Additional treatment included c-spine, occlusive dressings, requesting ALS (naturally, not available), and rapid transport.

I should have an email tomorrow or Thursday telling me I passed and when my interview is. They also went over my results from the HOBET with me. We talked about the best approaches for me to studying based upon my learning styles, time management, etc. as well. Sounds like I am in and the interview will just be a formality. I am hoping that is the case, anyway. I'll keep everyone posted.

I just got me email a little while ago regarding my interview. I have that on June 20 at 8:00 am. They will be mailing out letters on the 21st to let us know who gets a spot in the class.

Congrats:beerchug:

Things to remember for testing in the medic level that will get you through most scenario's is BSI, IV, Oxygen 15LM NRB or BVM, Monitor, and consider Rapid Transport.
