I've searched online, and asked the HR director @ work, but I'm still not completely understanding how it works in regards to pregnancy. Is anyone familiar that can help me??

My hubby is having a vasectomy reversal Tuesday (12/9) assuming it works, I will have to have a cerclage and go on light duty @ 12 weeks. Within my company, there is no light duty so I will go on FMLA/disability... which is where my questions begin. Our HR guy is about as helpful as my boot when it comes to this subject.

you should be able to contact the Department of Labor to get all of you questions answered.

Good luck with everything!

Most places will accept a letter from your doctor stating that you need to be on light duty for health reasons. Doesn't matter if it's for a pregnancy or a bunion. Your employer doesn't have the right to access your health information. All he needs to know is: are you fit to do your job, can you do light duty and do you have enough leave time to cover the time not worked?
