Florida State EMT

I'm just curious as to what the difference is between my NREMT-B and Florida's state EMT-B? I'm trying to apply for a couple Ocean Lifeguard/EMT positions but I think I'm being overlooked due to not having a Florida state certificate. I already applied to Martin County and am about to apply to Broward County. Any ideas?

Also a more specific question could probably be how do I GET a Florida state certification?

Yeah, NREMT doesnt mean anything here. You need to apply for a state emt license from the DOH.

When you graduate the class and take the state test you get the nremt certification as well
