First timer :-P

Now for a realy question about Alaska weather, how much snow do you get in a year?? And if you have some to spare please air mail it to SC this winter. And for everyone else's info, we had about 30-45 minutes of sleet this past week, the second earliest winter precip ever!
 
The snowfall all depends. I don't know on what, but it varries.

For instance, so far, we only have about 4 inches, but last year at this time we had about a foot. But this summer it rained for almost a month straight, if it had just waited 3 months, I bet we'd have 3 - 4 feet. The ski hills had to make their own snow, since there's nowhere near enough.
 
Huh I guess its that global warming thing then...or the EL NINO!
 
Those are some funny pictures, I swear South Dakota has lot of that "tacky but funny cute" tourist traps. Al's Oasis by Chamberlian S.D. has bufflos appox. 6' high in the front of the store along with the covered wagon!:P

Wow, kind of fitting that this thread rises from the dead a week before Halloween after 11 months. Laurallea, welcome to the group!!

P.S. As far as tourist traps go, I challenge anyone to find a person who has been to the Great Plains and has never seen or heard of South Dakota's Wall Drug!
 
I know, right? I got an email saying there was a reply, and I thought "Man, I started that thread almost a year ago!"

It's hard to think I've been certified for almost a year and still have not found a job. Pitiful.
