Hi everybody,

I received a call yesterday from a BLS/ CCT ambulance company in the East Bay area. We had a short over the phone interview followed by an invitation for an in person interview on Monday. I am a little nervous being this is my first interview as an EMT-B and jobs are hard to find in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Does anyone have any tips to help me prepare for this? The last thing I want to do is be blindsided because I was not prepared.

Thanks

my general advice for any job interview is:

1. Relax
2. Be confident (or at least act confident)
3. Speak calmly and clearly
4. Look professional and smell clean

Good luck!

Thanks, would nice khakis and a button up dress shirt with dress shoes be proper attire? should I wear a tie?

Wear a tie. This is a job interview.

I agree but I've always wonder if it is still appropriate to wear a suit and/or tie when you know the interviewer (and everyone else at the potential employer) will not be wearing traditional business attire.

Slightly off-topic but every time I have to wear a tie I have to search on youtube for "how to tie a tie" videos....
