Hi!

This is my first post to the website even though I've followed it for a while now.

I'm currently an EMT-B student. I have my first truck rotation Monday and I'm borderline freaking out from combined anxiety, excitement, and fear.

Anyone have any advice or stories from their first truck runs as students?

I was comfortable as I knew the crew before I went in.

Honestly keep your ears and eyes open mouth shut.

Show ambitions, help the crew check their trucks and don't be afraid to ask questions. Just remember they are not required to do anything for you or even allow you ride their truck, So if your a motivated student, eager to learn and offer a willingness to help. You should do just fine.

I would say to remember that the crew won't let you kill anyone, and they as an EMT, there's not a whole lot you can do that will kill anyone. Just show up ready to learn, and you'll be fine.
