Hello, hope everyone is doing well this holiday season. I'm looking into becoming a FF/PM and would like to know if I should become a Paramedic first then Firefighter or if I can become a FF then PM. I am looking, also, into going to either Southwestern College or Miramar College here in San Diego. Any opinions and advice are welcome thank you.

If you're in college (or about to be), it's almost always easier to get your medic as part of your degree, and then take the much quicker fire academy afterwards. In fact, many departments will hire paramedics and put them through their paid fire academies as part of training.
Do either of those schools offer a medic program as part of an emergency management/fire science/associates in Paramedicine degree?
