Hey guys!!
I'm an ambassador for Figure 1, a free app with real medical cases to learn from. It’s a great resource for studying for medical exams and discussing classic/rare medical cases with experienced healthcare professionals from around the world. Check out the app here: http://download.figure1.com/fall2015?m=frankunder

I had checked out your app a few months back and found that it seemed to be more geared towards the med student crowd (which is very interesting but beyond the scope of most field practitioners) rather than the nursing and/or prehospital environments.

Do you have any current or planned functionality on the horizon to expand the provided material to reach a broader audience?

I love the idea but found it a bit much for me to jump into without more in depth knowledge of what was actually being pictured and why it was presenting in such a manner.

I can go more in depth of you are interested in end-user notes.

Thanks for the questions! I do understand your concerns as there are a lot of complex and rare pathologies on the app (which is most likely why the poster decided to share them) however there are also a great deal of things like EKGs and trauma cases that I think EMTs might find interesting. There are also quite a few EMT/paramedics who are very active members who often provide very useful feedback on many cases (especially EKG interpretation, you guys really rock at that). As for expanding the app to a broader audience I would love to hear your ideas and would be happy to relay them to the creators of the app (im just here to spread the word)! If you have any more questions feel free to ask!! Thanks again

I really like the app. It certainly gives me some perspective on how little I know. Particularly on radiology/dermatology...

I like the verification system. I wish we had something similar here although nothing involving your employer like Figure1. The prehospital filter Brandon mentioned would be a good idea.
