What areas offer extra training for Advanced EMTs and what kind?

Look at the place that offered the AEMT class. Some schools offer classes that go into more depth than the original curriculum did (ECGs, Capnography, Cardiac emergencies, etc.) or take classes like PHTLS or PEPP if they were not already included in the original course.

That's really what I'm looking for. State of Alabama has nothing available for us at the moment though. I'm hoping in the future they'll let us have intubation, ECG, and cardiac drugs. It would be a big help to smaller agencies as far as personnel goes. It's not so much something I'll be pursuing, I'm starting medic next summer. Just interesting thought.

Where in Alabama are you? CVC has an Advanced class right now in Phenix City. Excellent instructor.
