Experience Question

As an EMT-B Looking for Employment, I was wondering if home health and supported living experience is any help in getting hired? I know it's not technically Emergency Experience, but it's still patient care experience.

I'm hoping to get hired with a non-emergency transportation company. If I land a job with them, will it count as the type of experience they are looking for EMT-B's to have?

Patient care experience in any form will help. Another big thing that is overlooked by many is customer service experience. The majority of what we do is customer service, the medicine is a part of it as well but when it comes down to it customer service is the biggest part. Managerial experience helps as well, especially at the paramedic level seeing as you are the one in charge of not only patient care but the scene and responders as a whole.
