If I may ask, what school are you going to?

I am going to Pee Dee Regional EMS, out of Florence South Carolina. I am not doing it through a tech college. But these people are actually specifically for EMT training. They actually offer every EMT class such as EMT-I, and they also offer the paramedic course as well!

Hmmm, I may consider that after I'm done with my EMT-B training, as the tech school I am going to doesn't offer past basic. -_-

It would be a great idea.....if you need directions I can help you get there, their web site is pdrems.com I believe, they have a number on there that you can call to get information and also classes and dates. They also have information about themselves, very nice place. Are you in EMT-B training now?

Ok thanks for the info! I'll PM you if/when I need that ^_^ But yeah I'm in training right now

is the class hard? like what should I expect from it? and feel free to PM me any time for the info on that place in Florence!

To me, its not hard. It is the only class I can pay attention in. When I was in high school, I never studied or any of that. But with this EMT class, I have such a drive for it, it comes easy. We just took a 100 question exam on the first 7 chapters of our book, made a 95

We use the Emergency Care 12th edition by Limmer

I have a drive for this too so I feel like I will put the effort in to study as well, I did well in highschool...but still never wanted to really be there lol. But anyways do they have like alot of medical terms and such or is most of it like common sense stuff? I know its a stupid question but im just wondering lol, I'm hoping and praying that I do well!

There's chapters specifically on medical terminology. But as long as you know the root words (hyper-, hypo-, hemo-, gastric-, cardio-, etc) you can generally figure out what someone is talking about, hah.
