I’m currently conducting a research project focused on the mental health of EMS personnel, and I’m reaching out to invite anyone who works or has worked in Emergency Medical Services to take part by filling out a short and anonymous survey. You do not need to share your name unless you choose to. Included is also a question that is optional to state the county or parish in which you work to observe if trends exist within certain areas. This question will not be used to identify you and can remain unanswered.

This study aims to better understand the unique mental health challenges faced by EMS professionals. We are often the first on scene and yet sometimes the last to be checked on. Your experiences and insight could make a real difference in bringing more awareness, support, and change where it is truly needed.

If you are in EMS or know someone who is, please consider sharing this post. Your voice matters. Thank you so much for being part of this effort.

If you are open to being part of that or want to learn more, you can reach me here or at 843-902-1892.

Thank you for helping make a difference in our field and in the lives of those who serve in it every day.

Its the correct forum, but normally we don't allow drive-by research requests from people who are only here to use members as research data and nothing else.

Thanks for letting them stay. They are legit, they are a friend to a very old friend of mine in SC who left EMS and now does Trauma Counseling. She sent me this link this morning via email, so its good to know they found their way to this site as well to gather more responses.

Triston---Parker has put your link out far and wide.

No problem. I actually verified as much as I could without direct contact and it looked legit which is part of the reason I let it stay...along with the importance of the subject matter.

@TristonBarefoot some of the questions were a little vague and redundant which made it a little tricky for me to answer transparently. Towards the end the last page had the same option twice for the last few questions.

Other than that, thanks for sharing and good luck with your undergraduate degree.

Last tidbit: perhaps consider changing EMT to EMS. It’s a bit more encompassing that way. As in Fire/ Police/ EMS. GL.

I believe it says EMS everywhere, unless there’s been a typo (in which case i apologize) if you wouldn’t mind telling me where this is at i would appreciate it!

As a part of your research I highly encourage you to look at Save A Warrior out of Ohio. I attended about a month ago and it was absolutely life changing. I’ve been dealing with my sh*t for 30 years and tried a variety of solutions, nothing has compared to the SAW experience.

Will be looking into it pronto! Thank you for the recommendation, and i’m glad you’ve found something to help!
