Eastern Texas 911 Job Availability.. Thinking of moving.... BUT

My wife gets out of the military in about a year and we are thinking of moving to her family farm in Sulphur Springs and putting a house on it. HOWEVER, I was reading on here and a lot of guys are saying its difficult getting 911 jobs??? How difficult is it? Like trying to get on a fire department difficult? I don't really want to buy a house only to find out I can't get a 911 job and be stuck. I work with a IFT company as an Intermediate for some cot time while getting through my degree program and plan on NEVER working it again! Any input will be greatly appreciated!

There's a fair number of jobs available, but there's also a lot of applicants for basic jobs. Having your Intermediate is helpful. PM me for more info on jobs in the area.
