I got a DWAID (Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs (Marijuana)) when I was 15. Im now 28. Will this effect me considering I havent smoked in almost 10 years.
Most DUI/DWI offenses are dropped from your driving history after 7-10 years depending on the state. Some states they will remain for the rest of your life but I'm not sure which ones. However it will be on your criminal history for ever. Be up front about it don't try to hide it from companies because they WILL find it and you will either lose your job or not be hired.
I had a rough patch a couple years ago no DUI/DWIs though. I told them about it on my app and during my interview. I am employed on a 911 truck .... take it for what it's worth.
