Dot Vouchers?

Does anyone know how to obtain DOT vouchers for an EMT or Paramedic class? I see some schools accept DOT vouchers, but I can't find any information on where you can get them? I tried google but my searching skills are pathetic so couldn't find anything

There vouchers given out by the state, that lower the cost for the course. In NY the paramedic voucher is for $1500. So if you can get it. It's like getting $1,500 off the course price

Thanks. So if I've read it correctly, I need to be a member of a volunteer agency. How do you know if your an eligble student though? I plan on taking a paramedic course soon so my volunteer company has to have a als side right?
