Dispatchers FT Opening - Shoreline in Huntington Beach

[Shoreline Manager]

Immediate - Full Time/Part Time Openings for Dispatchers. Must be available days, nights, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Pay $14-17 hr, based on experience
$500 Hire On Bonus. Employee will be paid $250 at 3 months, and $250 at six months.
Will pay for EMD Certification if yours is expired or you have not obtained it yet. '

Shoreline utilizes Sanitas Zoll CAD. IFT and 9-1-1 Dispatching, call intake.

Operates a EMS Computer-Aided Dispatching console consisting of a computer-based telephone system and radio console;

• Answer incoming calls and extracts necessary information;
  
  
• Evaluates incoming calls to determine the nature and urgency of the call;
  
  
• Dispatches the appropriate Fire/EMS unit(s);
  
  
• Keeps track of the status and location of all EMS personnel and vehicles;
  
  
• Transmits messages and information to Fire/EMS units responding to calls;
  
  
• Answer routine questions or refer calls to appropriate supervisor for non-Fire/EMS inquiries;
  
  
• Provides emergency medical self-help to citizens while EMS units are enroute;
  
  
• Establishes “patch” communications between the field emergency personnel and different facility;
  
  
• Answers routine questions or refers calls to appropriate agencies on non-EMS inquiries;
  
  
• Consults supervisor on non-routine matter;
  
  
• Attends in-service training classes to upgrade emergency medical knowledge in order to maintain required certifications;
  
  
• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service;
  
  
• Performs such other related duties as may be assigned

Required Certifications (Dispatcher):
AHA CPR Certificate BLS for Healthcare CPR Certification
CA EMT Card or Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) or ETC Certificate
