I think this is a great program for DC.

But last year, there were 30 people who called DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services a total of more than 2,000 times.

So paramedics set out to see what the problem was, and how to solve it.

This is a great program for many places. Hopefully it can be adapted by many agencies to suit their needs. Nothing more frustrating then seeing a patient who calls 911 for non-emergencies simply because they don't know what else to do. If we can help these people in other ways, as this program has, we could do a lot more to improve their lives.
