Privates do strictly inter facility in central Ohio with the exception of Morrow County EMS, which I'm told is some odd hybrid private/municipal service. Once you go south a bit into Ross County, some of the privates take occasional 911 calls if the fire departments can't get out the door.
With that said, you have Delaware County EMS and Madison County EMS which are munipal third party agencies with great reputations and equipment. Fayette county EMS is hospital based but also runs EMS, although I don't know much about them.
If you are interested in private IFT, I'm really not sure which companies are great. MedCare seems to be growing, maybe look into them.
