Hi everyone, I'm a Medic in Arizona who's looking to move to Colorado, and I'm wondering what the best companies to work for are, and who I should stay away from? I'm looking at moving somewhere between Colorado Springs, Denver, and Fort Collins. Is it tough to get hired as a Medic out there? Thanks

It can be. Denver health runs primary response in city and county of Denver. AMR runs the majority of the springs. There are a bunch of other services but DH and Amr are the biggest that I know of other than fire

Services up north (Poudre Valley and Thompson Valley) are great, but can be pretty competitive. DH is good, but has all the pitfalls and advantages of large urban systems. AMR runs primarily IFTs in Denver with back up 911, and AMR in Colorado Springs runs primary 911 with ALS fire. RM in Aurora is a disaster and I would turn down a job there even if they paid six figures. If I worked for a private anywhere in CO, AMR Colorado Springs would be the place to be. Look into Grand County EMS as well. More rural and in the mountains, but an outstanding system. Oh, also check out Platte Valley in Brighton.
