Services up north (Poudre Valley and Thompson Valley) are great, but can be pretty competitive. DH is good, but has all the pitfalls and advantages of large urban systems. AMR runs primarily IFTs in Denver with back up 911, and AMR in Colorado Springs runs primary 911 with ALS fire. RM in Aurora is a disaster and I would turn down a job there even if they paid six figures. If I worked for a private anywhere in CO, AMR Colorado Springs would be the place to be. Look into Grand County EMS as well. More rural and in the mountains, but an outstanding system. Oh, also check out Platte Valley in Brighton.
