So I've completed my EMT-I class. Class final was an 82.25 % with my final class grade of 85 %. That's the first step. The next step is Nat. Registry Practicals and I've got those tomorrow (12/12/09) morning at 0800. I've been going over them most of the day at work and I'm gonna grab a few of my squad members this evening and go over them again. If all goes well, by tomorrow at this time I should know if I passed the Practicals. Of course then I'll have to sit for the written. I've actually been a Basic for so long that the last time I did a Nat. Reg. written test it was still paper and pencil and wait two weeks.

Anyway, looking for some luck to be thrown my way.

During school, I used the opportunity of being "silent assist" or "patient" to learn from others mistakes on practical testing.

1. Secure the head last on long spine board immobilization (don't forget C collar)

2. Check PMS before and after major movement (traction/KED)

Those items failed more people than the law should allow
