Starting pay is $10.50-$10.82 for short shifts and $9.00-$9.08 for 24 hour shifts.
Training is paid and uniforms are provided. Benefits are active the first of the month after hire and the company pays 80% of the premium!

Out of curiosity what shifts do new EMT's typically start on? 12's? 24's? ALS? BLS? If BLS how long are you doing code 2 transports until you're on a 911 rig?

Typically a new hire will be running BLS calls but the rigs are equipped to run 911 calls too. Shifts are all seniority based by hours worked. The highly desirable 24s and in house fire shifts will take some time to get on but there are always opportunities to pick up extra shifts and get more hours in!
