cant find an emt-b job :(

Currently in my area i have yet to find anyone looking to hire a basic. Everywhere i have look is only interested in hiring paramedics. I just got licensed in December i have no experience in the medical field. Can anyone suggest some good jobs along the lines that will help me get experience and help get my foot in the door?

Be patient it takes time to find your first EMT-B job. Unfortunately Certified EMTs are a dime a dozen so for one job 10 people may apply.

Your best bet may be to try Transport only companies, you might get stuck on a wheelchair van, or just a BLS transport truck to start but it gets you experience

Like unleashedfury says just be patient it will take some time. It took over a year for applications to open up at fire departments I want to work for. Jobs in EMS can take up to a year to get into a ambulance company or fire department. Just a suggestion but try going into a local hospital, maybe they hire EMT's in the ER.
