Hi,
let me star by saying how much I admire all of you that are out there caring for others, when they need you the most. Okay, so as a young girl I had some pretty tough traumas (certain abuses) that marked me and hurt me. So on my early 20s I had anxiety really bad, but not anymore. Is been about 5 years now that I've learned to deal with my past and just focus on the best and on the present blessings. My question is, can I still be an EMT, even though I user to have anxiety in the past? Thank you ahead of time for taking the time to awenser me. Thanks!!!

It is totally up to you if you can do it or not. We can unanimously say that you can't, but that wouldn't matter.

If you think you can be an EMT with anxiety, you probably can. A lot of EMTs I know have it, myself included. Just make sure to take care of yourself!

Best of luck!

If you have it under control you can talk to your Dr and have them write a letter. I had to do that. But, yes, you can still become an EMT
