Hey there,
I need some help from anyone that is or was an American expat. Preferabally living/or lived in Western Europe and if you did it as a child that would be even better.

I have questions; if you think/thought it to be a positive experice, why so?

Please try to keep it limited to positive experiences as negative ones will not really fit into what I am working on.

Is it only answers from American expats you are looking for?

I am a UK expat, so if it is generic info you are after I can give you honest opinions.
 
Really I am trying to come up with some reasons why it might be good, as an American, to live overseas for a spell. Especially as a child (9-11yoa).

Have you narrowed it down to one particular European country? There are almost 50 to choose from.

Do you have an EU passport or work permit? If not, under which visa would you be entering the country?
 
I'm an ExPat (I had to google the term, but I am one!)
 
Netherlands, but I think really any positive experiences would be helpful. Not sure positive experiences being an expat in Spain would be all that different from those in Holland right? IF I get the job the rest of the stuff will be sorted. Visas don't really apply to my question.
