Hello everyone I'm pretty sure this has been covered in many places already, but I am currently working on my EMT-B cert right now on the east coast. How difficult would it be for me to take it and relocate to Southern California, and also what all is involved with doing that?

I'm not familiar with the specifics of certifying in California, but it should be doable. Your best bet is checking online to see state requirements for reciprocity and certification. I believe you also have to be certified by the county there. I'm sure someone from the area will chime in soon who knows far more than I do. Be warned though, many consider southern California one of the worst places in the country to work in EMS. Just something to think about.

After you complete your EMT-B you just need to get your NREMT-B then take that to your Cali EMS office to get your state and county card. You will have to have a livescan background check as well.
