Boston EMS recruit class

Does anyone know or has anyone heard rumors about Boston EMS hiring a new recruit class at any point this year (2011)?

Unclear at this time. There are still many applicants who have been accepted and waiting to start...

I did hear that those who were already accepted but did not yet take the recruit class may have to reapply and retest since it has been so long. Also some of those people may not still be interested and may have moved on to different jobs.

boingo may be able to give us more information... but I remember being told that those who had been accepted were no longer obligated to maintain residency, but would be accepted back within 72 months without question. They only had to complete their drug test and physical again. Can anyone confirm or deny?
